Another year, another OFC come and gone! Our team was in San Diego last week giving demos on both FastMT and AVIT-DT systems. FiberQA continues to boast the only robotic endface inspection system with built-in, automated cleaning. FiberQA's range of systems provide seamless quality control at every point along a supply chain.

FiberQA’s sales and customer support team recently concluded a 10-day tour visiting with current and potential clients in China and Thailand. The team listened to the issues concerning optical connector quality control, and helped provide potential solutions to assist and improve companies in the Asian market. Joe Salemi (Manager of Commercial Sales) says, "There were five main issues that were raised over and over again at each stop along the way. We discussed how our FastMT and AVIT systems could help solve all of these problems when incorporated into their quality control process." From our sales team at FiberQA, we want to thank everyone who stopped by our booth last week at ECOC. Every show we attend is unique, and ECOC is no different. This year's show was held in Gothenburg, Sweden and boasted nearly 6,000 visitors and delegates from 24 countries around the world. 

We are heading across the pond next week (18-20 September) for ECOC, one of the largest fiber optic conferences in the world. Truth be told though, going to Sweden isn't the only thing that has us excited at FiberQA...for the first time ever, we will be giving LIVE demonstrations on our brand new AVIT-BP system! 

Our North American distributor, Fiber Optic Center, wrote an excellent blog recently about the comparison of manual fiber scopes vs. automated fiber scopes. In FOC author Chris Rollinson's words, "'automation' is the holy grail of the fiber optic industry." Chris goes on to explain how FiberQA's FastMT fiber scope can improve upon the quality control process during inspection of fiber optic cable connectors in cable assembly houses.

At FiberQA, we make automation our businees. We believe that manual fiber scopes are the past, while fast, reliable, automated fiber scopes are the future.

Our team attended OFC 2017 in Los Angeles last week. It seems like every year the crowds get bigger and better, and our interactions dive deeper into how we can provide solutions for entire supply chains. Everything went smoothly, the systems shined, and the crowds were wowed. What an incredible show! We were especially humbled by the enthusiastic crowds surrounding the debut of our new AVIT-dt. On-lookers were blown away by the speed of the inspection and precision of the cleaner--have you ever seen a first pass clean on a dirty, oily endface?! I didn't think so! 

We are always excited to attend industry events, but we are absolutely chomping at the bit for next week’s OFC show in Los Angeles! Our company’s main goal is to revolutionize and automate the way manufacturers and consumers inspect and clean their cable connectors, and our brand new AVIT-dt and AVIT-bp systems continue that legacy. OFC will be the very first public debut of the AVIT-bp system and this will be the first time we will have an AVIT-dt at the show (though you may have gotten a peak at it during ECOC or AVFOP).

One of the biggest advantages to having a FastMT automated fiberscope, is the ability to customize the settings and parameters of your inspection protocol. Whether you have one system or several, a small team of operators or dozens, you simply have to input the desired parameters and you can rest assured that every connector will be inspected consistently and reliably, regardless of whom is operating which system.

The jet-lag and daylight savings time change has worn off, but we're still riding high after last week's IEEE Photonics Society hosted AVFOP show in Long Beach, CA! We want to thank the coordinators for putting together yet another exciting and beneficial event. We were able to showcase products and systems to a targeted group of important industry-influencers in the military and aerospace markets.
