Another year, another OFC come and gone! Our team was in San Diego last week giving demos on both FastMT and AVIT-DT systems. FiberQA continues to boast the only robotic endface inspection system with built-in, automated cleaning. FiberQA's range of systems provide seamless quality control at every point along a supply chain.
According to Manager of Commercial Sales & Marketing, Joe Salemi, "The hit of the show for FiberQA was our AVIT-DT." The AVIT-DT is a versatile robotic inspection system with a large 5"x5" inspection window that can hold up to 72 MPO connectors, 80 LC Duplex connectors, or any other configuration provided by a series of interchangeable fixtures. Next up for FiberQA's sought after desktop system is transceiver inspection & cleaning. "We are coming out with a fixture to do QSFPs on our AVIT-DT robotic system that can hold 12 QSFP [connectors] at one time."
Like last year, FiberQA showed off the FastMT's ability to inspect transceiver modules without breaching the bulkhead. Salemi discussed the addition of QSFP LC Duplex inspection capability to the FastMT, and provided demos using the new fixture throughout the show. "We're very excited about the transceiver market...and being able to inspect [pluggables] on the FastMT." This new fixture is just the latest in a long list that shows just how dedicated FiberQA is to making the most versatile and reliable inspection systems on the market. We continue to develop and innovate, and cannot wait to share what's coming up at the next show!
As always, the show went by in the blink of an eye, but with more than 15,500 attendees, it was one of the best years yet!
